the ROAD to SEMA

Derrick had finished up most of the body work and they started to put everything back together

Derrick skinned the gate and welded in the new lower bed sides that had been crunched, boy did they find some ugliness under that fancy yellow paint!

Jonn's neighbors just love him; they terrorized the hood for a week driving around trying to break stuff.  They got it all dialed in and didn’t have any major setbacks during the shakedown cruises.

Then the crew stripped her down naked and spent some more time blending the frame getting it ready for powder coat.

The frame is back from powder and boy does it look good with its new crinkle black coat.  All the late nights grinding in the garage really paid off it looks great.

Dave and Derrick painted the motor and rear ends shiny black and started to assemble this beast.  They ran all the hoses and wiring using Odell’s fastened to the frame to keep everything nice and tight.  Dave even wrapped all lines in one piece black shield

They put the body back on and Derrick got back to work he welded up the doors, fenders and cowl.

Here she is after the first round of body work at Main Street Body Werks in Speedway Indiana. The fellas really worked hard to bring the body lines back that had been lost many years ago.
